1908 First studies on gear technology by Max Maag (1883–1960)
1910 Opening of an engineering office by Max Maag in Horgen near Zurich
1913 "Gear Wheel Company Max Maag" founded in Zurich
1917 "Gear Wheel Company Max Maag" changes to "Maag Gear Wheel Co. Zurich"
1918/28 Patents for the first gear pumps were granted to Maag
1922-88 Construction of measuring equipment, cutting machines and gear grinding machines for the manufacture of different types and sizes of gear wheels
1946 Erection of a pump factory at Zurich-Altstetten
1957 Building of a new Pump factory at Dietikon outside of Zurich
1990 Maag builds world’s largest gear pump: polyrex® 41-6 (40t/h)
1991 Splitting of the Maag Gear Wheel Co. into Maag Gear Co. and Maag Pump Systems AG
1992 Maag Pump Systems of America Inc. is founded
1994 Maag Pump Systems GmbH in Kassel, Germany is founded
